Jake hanging out with with little Ayla, our neighbor across the street.

Jake and his gal pal Hailey at daycare the other morning.

Jake found Mama's water bottle the other day.  He loved it!

Jake loves using this toy thing at daycare to stand up on his own.  He's getting closer and closer to walking...

It's tough to read, but this is Jake's first "incident report" from daycare.  He took a digger on the play yard and cut his lip.  First of many we're sure!

Now that it's spring and Jake is on the move, he loves exploring the backyard.
Now that he's more on the move, Jake loves to be outside.  Just in time for Spring!
It's not the best picture, but this is Jake starting to stand up without pulling up on something.  The boy wants up!!!

This is what Jake looks like when he wants his mommy and knows she's on the other side of the bedroom door.

Jake was having a lot of fun the other day playing with round crayons at daycare.

MARCH 19th 2013: JAKE EATS BACON!!!!!!!
Lulu and Bennett were such good pals to Jake that they watched him on the baby monitor to make sure he was doing okay in his crib.

Bennett was teaching Jake some tricks on how to get in and out of the house.

Lulu and Mike took a dip in the pool.  The water was a crisp 59 degrees.

Bennett was great at holding Jake.

Jake got a cool new walker toy from his new friends Lulu and Bennett.  It plays music and has a little keyboard.  He loves it!

Our friends the Stewarts stayed with us this weekend.  Lulu and Bennett Stewart got a lot of hang out time with Jake.

Poppe and Dede came over to visit Jake this weekend.  He's getting good at high-fiving!
Here is Jake right after his first dunk under water.  He did great!!!

Jake's first slide!!!

Every now and then Jake would make sure Mommy was still nearby.

Jake took a lap around the pool with the teacher.

Jake had another swim lesson this weekend.  He's very serious about the whole operation.

Jake really loved banging on a little piano at our friend's house.  It was loud!

Someone is getting his legs under him...

After about 20 minutes, Jake was ready for a nap.  Even though it was a new adventure, he was certainly at ease in the pool.  We have these pool sessions for him every Saturday for the month of March.  Stay tuned...

An important part of the first lesson was to get Jake's ears into the water.  He did great!

Jake was still very serious, but definitely was more at ease when he got to play with some toy balls.
