Jake waking up from a nap at Grandma Ida's house.
Jake is very camera shy when he's taking his naps.
Here is Jake sporting his one month birthday tie.
Here's a picture of Jake's room. He doesn't spend much time in there yet.
A blast from the past, we thought we'd post this picture of Jake giving the thumbs up from inside the womb.
Whitney and Jake took a nap in bed this morning. Jake likes sleeping upright on his pillow.
Jake met his newest buddy, Nolan Jacobs, for the first time. Nolan took a swing at Jake and tried to steal his sock. Jake got him back back by pooping while lying on Nolan's changing table and staring right at him. We'll call this first of many meetings a draw.
More pictures from the Kaiser photographer at the hospital.
These are some pictures that were taken by a photographer at Kaiser on the day we were leaving the hospital.
This is a good example of pre-meltdown and post-meltdown. How fast it can change...
We gave Jake a bath today. Now that his belly button is all healed, we can put him into the water. He really likes it - until you try and wash his hair. He's not into that at all.
Jake is wearing a cool outfit his Aunt Laurie gave him. Among other things, she bought this 3-6 month outfit so he would have it down the road after he got a little bigger. Well, it already fits. This boy is growing fast!!!
With Jake's neck muscles getting stronger every day, he's now able to be held in a "football" hold and keep his head up on his own (for the most part).
Sometimes Whitney carries Jake around in this wrap called a Moby. It gets him all crunched up and warm like he's back in the womb. They both love it!
Whitney gave Mike a great photo of Jake to put on his desk now that he is back at work.
The family unit took a drive over the Golden Gate today and had lunch at Cavallo Point in Sausalito. The pictures are of our seating on the outside deck, Jake not wanting his picture taken, Whitney feeding Jake, and what our view looked like. It was a beautiful day and a fun outing.
Another good example of how Jake loves to sleep with his hands on his face.
Mike and Jake went out for a father/son breakfast this weekend. Mike did the eating, Jake did the sleeping.
Jake really likes his tummy time - and we think he's getting close to figuring out how to suck his thumb.
Mike went back to work this week, but gets good catch up time with Jake when he gets home at night.
Whitney giving Jake some "tummy time". Starting to build those neck muscles...
Jake had his first doctors appointment today. All was well - and he's gained a pound since birth!!! The doctor said Whitney must have some high octane milk going on in there.
For Mothers Day, Jake gave his mommy a present she can put on her desk when she goes back to work.
We had a great Mothers Day brunch with Grandma Ida and Grandpa John. It was Jake's first trip to Marin. Get used to it kid.
This is a perfect example of the "O face" Jake loves to make when he's ready to eat. And for some reason, he also likes to put his little fist on his chin like he's in deep thought.
Grandpa Bill and Grandma Denise (Whitney's Step Mom) came over for a little face time with Jake.
The three of us went out for a walk to Filmore Street to our favorite little bun mi place. It was the farthest Whitney had walked since the c section, so that was a great milestone for us. Jake took the opportunity to take a big nap. Mike took the opportunity to have one of his favorite beers.
We took Jake to get his little feet and hands pressed into a mold for a ceramic piece. He was clearly not into the whole experience. Hopefully he will appreciate it later on down the road.
This one milk drunk baby. Arms dangling down in relaxation mode.
We took little Jake for our first family meal out together. We enjoyed some sandwiches while Jake chilled out in the stroller looking very relaxed.
